Easier said than done, basically. :) I don't seem to have enough of a drive to do fiction writing freelance, and I've never successfully completed a novel -- not for lack of trying! I have, however, made a living off and on doing technical writing, as I am now. And, I've thought about looking into non-fiction writing freelance, but I'm not sure what I'd actually try to do. (Travel writing has come to mind but I haven't pursued it much.)
