A bit of cross-cultural study

I'm back from a Christmas party at the house of my mother's coworker. We had to drive northwest up into Homossassa, about 45 minutes away, quite past the middle of nowhere.

All I can really say about it is that they had a den that looked like a sleazy pool hall, complete with the football schedule posters, cigarette ads, and beer ads (on mirrors).

I can also say that they had a guest doing an Elvis impersonation.

I think I'm going to go rent a Volvo and drive it to the closest Starbucks to pick up a really frou-frou latte.

There's one near me in New Port Richey. Take 589 South to 54 and go west until you hit Little Road. I could meet you sometime if you're really that close. We have a Panera Bread too. ;)

Although there are locations closer to you. Wildwood and Ocala. ;)
