Yes, while on the one hand I think prudence is very important, going out and adventuring and Seeing What Life Really Has To Offer would be educational and, in the long run, would help you find out what you really want to do with your life -- which frankly I'm not sure staying in familiar surroundings would help you do. I'm beginning to miss aspects of Florida, or places I went, but I think moving out of Florida was one of the very best decisions I ever made; in a lot of ways, I'd never "left home" before.
