chipotleI'm in Barstow, California, simply because it didn't look like there was anything else but desert to stop in earlier. I'm wondering if that might not have been a more pleasant choice. All the motels are filled, and I'm in the "American Inn," which would be passable if my room didn't have a half-dozen flies in it. And it's in a part of town that looks... dubious.. I'm waiting for food at a diner that's given me a Coke that tastes like carbonated sulfur. And, the wireless service is so crappy I haven't bothered to try a phone call or AIM session.
The rest of the day was great--more later--but the night is likely to suck.
