Meanwhile, I'm eating reconstituted coconut curry and wishing I had some toasted buttered Wonder Bread to go with it. Sorry... all the restaurants I consider good are of the sort favored by the principal characters in Martin Scorsese movies.
You could take Mom to Golfland Arcade; that's a must-do in Silicon Valley. If your guests have had little enough rest during the trip you can pass it off as the Tech Museum.
