I think when we say "Coyote Luck" -- some of which we're experiencing right now -- we mean that our fortunes are either REALLY AMAZINGLY GOOD or REALLY AMAZINGLY BAD but rarely are they in the middle. Whereas what you've got is more of a trade-off in terms of work conditions. But whatever the case -- GOOD LUCK.
And good luck in your (re)writing; as you may or may not know, I recently completed a 50K word novel and am now facing the task of rewriting it. Ugh.
