While there are no Waffle Houses in this area, there are a few real diners. Off the top of my head, I know of two, open 24 hours even. Cardinal Cafe, on Meridian and Hillview, and The Mini Gourmet on Bascom and Moorpark. The later will definitely fill your greasy-spoon quotient when you need it. :)
