I tried that in a course I took once. The question was, "Discuss the significance of Toby's whistling Lillibullero in Tristram Shandy," to which I answered, "Beer."

...I think what the aphorism fails to note is that, while beer may always be an answer, it is not always the correct answer.

(Although from what I recall of reading Tristram Shandy, beer may be as good an answer as any other.)

Even as an atheist, I find such a sentiment remarkably easy to agree with. ^_^
