Brief observation
2008-04-29 18:22So I'm tweaking the horror story and thinking I've got to make this suck more. And it occurred to me that this is about the only genre where that's a positive thing.
...Of course, I mean "make this suck more for the characters," but it's still sort of perversely amusing to be looking critically at the text and thinking how do I maximize the gut punch effect without increasing the word count?

Date: 2008-04-30 03:56 (UTC)It is furry, as that would imply, and the conceit was taking a relatively common horror trope and giving it a specifically furry take. I think it worked well overall, although doing it in under 3000 words has been a challenge. I still don't absolutely know that will fit in the space they're giving me, either!
