So it's the first morning in a while I've actually gotten up at seven, a time which at least isn't unreasonable. But I didn't do anything with it other than take time to relax. I suppose that isn't, in and of itself, bad--but it belies the idea of getting up early enough to work on projects in the morning. Granted, getting a sufficient block of morning time free to do that would mean getting up at six or earlier. Like that'll happen.

I'm beginning to suspect I should just admit defeat. As long as I have the office schedule that I do, the chances of me getting to bed by 11:00 p.m. on weeknights approaches nil. What I should do, perhaps, is work on giving my room a usable little office space. Part of me cringes at the idea of doing it, because it catches me in a paradox: I'm willing to get a fairly cheap desk, but I'd rather not get a cheap chair. I'm not going to have the money to get a good chair anytime soon, though. (I haven't seen a good work chair for under $300.)

...and now, looking at the time, I've squandered my last half-hour and will be late getting into work, despite having gotten up early. Argh.

I'm always dreaming of working from home. :) Seriously, when/if I'm able to, I'd certainly give it a go. Part of me worries that I wouldn't be focused enough to actually *work* here. ("Here" generically being "wherever I'm living," not "specifically Tugrik's house.") But, I'm often no more focused at the office! And my track record for being able to dive into things when I'm in a comfortable environment and can do them in my own seemingly haphazard fashion is better than I give myself credit for.
